| So... I'm going to start volunteerig at Baylor University Medical Center. I'm so excited :) Chelle has helped me sooo much since I moved in with them. She helped me find my photo club, which i attend the first and third tuesdays of the month. That has been pretty fun since everyone that is in that club are my grandparents age. hah... o man. I won first place on my first entery . i was pretty surprised. she helped me to persue my dream of being a missionary. She's just been encouraging and loving through out this whole thing. O- she helped me set up a budget! It's going really well.. sometimes It's hard, but overall It's a good good thing that I have it. I would have no money. hah.. I cant believe that I go home to PA in four months. that time is going to go really fast. the five months that I've been here so far have gone incredibly speedy. I think I have the superman song PERMINANTLY STUCK in my head forever.(is that how you spell perminantly??) | | |
| hey ya'll! ha! I just read all of my old xanga enteries and really have to update this thing! So- Grenada was such a crazy trip. The Island is GORGEOUS and the people very friendly. but time to Grenadians isn't as important as it is to americans. We would schedule things and they would be at least 30 minutes late or wouldn't come at all. That was very hard to comprehend.. Going to church there was like going to a southern black church 50 years ago. Four hour long Sunday services. They were not appealing to the youth culture at all. So we designed missions trips for three different American teams that came the last few weeks of our trip. That was a challenge, but Jesus worked it out so perfectly! All the teams had great experiences, and at the same time our team (Buddy, Chelle, Jimmy, Jenny, Meg, Caden, Cai and me) really got to connect with some of the youth there. I can go into so much more detail-- talk to me about it some time :) Right now Im in Texas nannying for Buddy and Chelle! And i have to go because Cai is crying... what a good nanny I am :) i miss xanga.. | | |
